LOVISTA is used to suppress the hormone prolactin, which is known as the milk hormone in women. It is taken to stop milk production in women or to treat fertility problems in men.

How do these pills work?

It is composed of cabergoline, which is the substance responsible for stopping the action of the prolactin hormone, which is responsible for the process of milk secretion in the mother’s breast after childbirth or due to miscarriage, in order to allow pregnancy again. It is considered one of the most important hormones that produce protein inside a woman’s body.

Indications for use of LOVISTA tablets

  • It is used to stop milk secretion in the mother's breast in the case of a miscarriage in order to get pregnant again or in the case of the mother not wanting to breastfeed naturally.
  • It is also used to treat fertility problems in men and to treat infertility through the substance cabergoline, which is present in the male body in small amounts.
  • To treat menstrual disorders in women.
  • To treat pituitary tumors.

Dosage and method of use of LOVISTA

If you want to increase prolactin levels, you should take one tablet per week or take half a tablet divided into two days per week.

- If Dostinex is prescribed to stop milk production, half a tablet should be taken every 12 hours, divided over two days only, before or after eating.

  2. Pregnant women or women who are preparing to become pregnant should stop taking Dostinex at least one month before pregnancy occurs, because its half-life in the body ranges from 79 to 115 hours.

For breastfeeding
