Cetal Syrup 120 mg per 5 ml 60 ml:
Cetal Syrup is a pain reliever and fever reducer medication, intended for children, used to relieve pain and reduce high temperatures. Cetal contains the active ingredient acetaminophen.
Uses of Cetal:
- Pain and fever associated with teething in children.
- Toothaches in children.
- Pain reliever and fever reducer accompanying sore throat cases.
- Common cold, influenza, and various infections that may cause fever in children.
- After various vaccinations as a fever reducer and pain reliever.
Appropriate doses according to age:
- Dose for children aged 5 to 6 years, when the average weight of the child is from 18.5 to 20.5 kilograms, is 6 milliliters, as needed, with a maximum of four times daily.
- Dose for children aged 6 to 7 years, when the average weight of the child is from 20.5 to 22.5 kilograms, is 7 milliliters, as needed, with a maximum of four times daily.
- Dose for children aged 7 to 8 years, when the average weight of the child is from 22.5 to 25 kilograms, is 8 milliliters, as needed, with a maximum of four times daily.
- Dose for children aged 8 to 9 years, when the average weight of the child is from 25 to 28.5 kilograms, is 9 milliliters, as needed, with a maximum of four times daily.
- Dose for children aged 9 to 10 years, when the average weight of the child is from 28.5 to 32.5 kilograms, is 10 milliliters, as needed, with a maximum of four times daily.
- Dose for children aged 10 to 11 years, when the average weight of the child is from 32.5 to 37 kilograms, is from 10 to 12 milliliters, as needed, with a maximum of four times daily.
- Dose for children aged 11 to 12 years, when the average weight of the child is from 37 to 41.5 kilograms, is from 12 to 13 milliliters, as needed, with a maximum of four times daily.
Warnings and Precautions:
- Keep Cetal syrup out of reach of children.
- Do not exceed the prescribed doses of Cetal syrup, and if the condition does not improve, do not increase the dose beyond the recommended amount, but consult a doctor or hospital.
- Be cautious when taking other medicinal products containing paracetamol simultaneously with Cetal syrup.
- If the child suffers from liver or kidney problems or dysfunctions, Cetal syrup should not be taken except after consulting a specialist doctor.
- Store Cetal syrup at a temperature below 25 degrees Celsius. Also, keep the syrup tightly closed.
